Understanding the 20 issues
What each detected issue means and why it matters for speed.
AkMx detects 20 biomechanical issues grouped by cascade priority:
Arms (Priority 1) — Arms Breaking 90°, Arms Cross Midline, Lateral Arm Swing, Wide Elbows, Front Arm Not Reaching Ear
Shoulders (Priority 2) — Shoulders Rocking Side to Side
Posture (Priority 3) — Too Upright, Bent at Waist
Hips (Priority 4) — Hips Too Far Back, Asymmetric Drive, Hip Drop
Lower Body (Priority 5) — Knee Drive Too Low, Foot Strike Not 90°, Shin Angle Not 45°, Legs Not Parallel, Knee Valgus, Feet Crossing Over, Toes Ducked, Feet Not Hip Width
Hands (Priority 6) — Non-Relaxed Hands
Cascade logic: fix issues in priority order. Kevin's coaching insight is that arm mechanics drive everything downstream — if your arms are broken, your legs will follow. That's why AkMx always prioritizes arm issues first.
Severity levels:
- HIGH — issue detected in 50%+ of frames. Fix first.
- MEDIUM — 10-50% of frames. Worth addressing.
- LOW — <10%. Fine-tuning.
- CLEAN — not detected.
